A Friendly Voice is a free, confidential “warm line” for older adults (55+) focused on connection and friendly conversation (not counselling).

Coverage​

Who it’s for​

  • Older adults (55+) who are feeling lonely, isolated, or just want someone to talk to

Hours​

  • 7 days/week, 8 a.m.–10 p.m.

  • Service language is not clearly stated on the program’s main page; ask when you call.

What to expect when you call​

You’ll be connected with a trained volunteer for a warm, supportive conversation. Volunteers do not provide advice or counselling and will help direct crisis situations to emergency/crisis services.

Notes​

  • If you’re in immediate danger or need urgent crisis support, call 911 (or your local emergency number).
